The Farewell Weekend is the last chance to see all the Swindogs and Swinpups from The Big Dog Art Trail before they are auctioned off to raise funds for Julia's House Children's Hospice.

Visit the STEAM Museum in Swindon over the Farewell Weekend to see the whole pack together before they head to their forever homes. Plus, you’ll find Swindog and Swinpup souvenirs on sale and have the chance to win your own teeny tiny Swinpup sculpture each day. The unique first prize raffle sculptures have been lovingly donated and designed by renowned artist Robert Mach in the style of his Tunnock’s tea cake inspired Swindog called ‘Running with the Dogs’.

The beautifully decorated balloon-dog sculptures will be on display from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September.

Tickets cost just £2.50 each and under 3's are free. Book your tickets online or pay on the day.

About The Big Dog Art Trail:

From 15th July until 3rd September 2023, 72 individually painted balloon-shaped dog sculptures are being displayed around Swindon for all to enjoy.

The Big Dog Art Trail features 30 Swindogs, with stunning designs created by national and local artists, and 42 Swinpups created by local schools, youth and community groups.

The Swindogs have all been sponsored and paid for by the local business community and Swindon Borough Council has supported the trail’s Learning Programme for schools.

Covering a 16-mile trail around town, this unmissable FREE family event is taking locals and visitors on a tour of Swindon’s finest landmarks, retailers, streets, parks and public spaces and is fully accessible.

After the trail ends on 3rd September, the complete pack of Swindogs and Swinpups will be brought together for a grand Farewell Weekend on 16th and 17th September at Swindon’s historic STEAM Museum, before they are auctioned on 19th September.  All of the money raised will go to Julia’s House, which relies almost entirely on public funding to provide its lifeline of care to local families.
